This 14-karat yellow gold ring mounting features an open filigree design and a bezel mounting that holds one 10mm round cabochon. It features a sizing bar that makes it easy to size the ring without disrupting the filigree design. A wide rim inside the walls supports the stone and reduces metal weight, making the mounting more affordable. Use jeweler's epoxy to secure the stone in place, or use traditional bezel techniques to set a shallow or low-dome cab. Place your stone in the bezel and push the walls inward over the stone, holding it in place. For added security, if desired, place a drop or two of jeweler's epoxy along the rim before placing the stone.
