This 10-karat lightweight yellow gold spring ring clasp features an open ring, making it quick and easy to incorporate into your design. After attaching to your design, simply solder it closed to secure your design to the clasp. The spring ring is a classic clasp choice, ideal for all but the heaviest of designs. A spring ring is simply a hollow ring with an opening in one side that is closed off by a sliding 'door' inside the hollow ring. The door is held in place by a tiny spring controlled by a tiny nib on the outside of the ring. Press the nib back to compress the spring and open the clasp; release it to close the clasp.
