This sterling silver pendant mounting features a filigree design with swirls and beaded accents; four prongs hold one 18 x 13mm oval cameo or cabochon. A tapered rabbit-ear bail complements the design and makes it easy to slide on to a cord or chain. The pendant has a bright finish; leave it bright, or oxidize the pendant to bring out the details. This cabochon mounting features a flat, open base and raised edges; the open back makes it lightweight and comfortable to wear. A rabbit-ear bail is a tapered style that is split in half vertically, giving it the appearance of a pair of long, curving rabbit ears. Set your cameo or cabochon into the mounting, then burnish the prongs over the stone to secure it in place.
